NPR.org launched using PHP in November 2001. Our website and product offerings have certainly evolved, but take a peek under the hood and you’ll find a large, cruft-filled monolithic codebase that has grown exponentially over the years. Come behind the scenes with us and learn about NPR’s past and current struggles to modernize and tame our legacy systems. We’ll also present our ongoing and future plans that will position NPR to deliver new features in an efficient manner.
