The WordPress REST API (still under development, still fighting to be included in core) is enabling amazing things! It’s also causing people to completely rethink things that could be better accomplished via more traditional means, like a regular theme. We’ll very briefly talk about what the API is, cover what it can do, and then have a discussion about when it should be best used.
